BECOME A HLAS/COMPETITIVE SPONSOR FOR 2012 Are you and your company looking for a greater sponsorhip opportunity? Sponsor a travelling Competitive team and have your company name and logo reach outside the city of Hamilton. See SPONSORSHIP.
BECOME A VOLUNTEER FOR 2012 Remember our club functions with the assistance of a large core of volunteers. Never hesitate to step forward to help out and bring enjoyment to our players. Without volunteers our club would not be able to offer sports to the youth. See VOLUNTEERS. |
House League All Stars (HLAS) Program The House Leauge All Star Program is an optional program that is offered in addition to our regular House League Program. Players are required to be registered, practice and play with their regular House League team and then attend the Friday night practices with their HLAS team. Players involved in HLAS soccer may not participate in Competitive soccer (MJ/SRSL), except as call-ups in rare circumstances. The HLAS program is a FAIR PLAY division of the West Hamilton Youth Soccer Club and as such it differs slightly from our EQUAL PLAY philosophy. Players must try-out for HLAS teams and be prepared not to be selected. Players must also ensure that they attend all practices and work as hard as possible for their HLAS team. In HLAS, tournament games will be played over the summer in cities around Hamilton. The registration fee, an additional $125 (subject to change) over and above the House League fee, covers two tournaments. Additional tournaments may be entered but the funding of these events will fall to fund raising efforts by the teams. This year's HLAS teams are officially formed after the start of House League play in May and teams offered depends solely on the demands from the age division, available volunteers, and a OSA certified Coach having the time to coach a team. Tryouts for next year's HLAS teams will be during the summer or early fall. Generally, that team practices over the winter on an evening the coach/manager determines. Admission to the winter team may be on-going and is at the discretion of the coach/manager. Additionally, it is not unheard of that a new HLAS team may form in May, even when a winter preliminary team was not formed. If you have any questions about playing in the HLAS Division, would like more information, or are interested in forming and coaching a HLAS team, please contact the HLAS Convenor (hlas@westhamiltonsoccer.com). 2012 HLAS TEAMS (more teams may form) U7 Boys (born 2005) (HLAS), Gary Wilson core9696@bellnet.ca U8 Boys (born 2004) (HLAS), Gary Wilson core9696@bellnet.ca U8 Girls (born 2004) (HLAS), COACH NEEDED, please contact hlas@westhamiltonsoccer.com U10 Boys (born 2002) (HLAS), Doug Kinzie kinzie.douglas1@gmail.com |
